Welcome back to another post about one of my all-time favourite Nintendo Switch games: Overcooked. No matter how many times I play it—whether alone or with friends—it never gets old. Playing solo is fun and a bit easier since you control everything yourself, but honestly, the real magic happens when you play with friends. That’s when chaos, teamwork, and (sometimes) a little bit of anger kick in—haha! Recently, I revisited some of my favourite stages, and I couldn’t resist sharing them here.

The Best Overcooked Stages That Always Bring Chaos and Laughter
Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time playing one of my favourite games again—Overcooked. No matter how long it’s been, this game never really gets old. Sometimes I’ll play alone (it’s actually not too hard when you’re in charge of everything), but honestly, the most fun is always with friends. That’s when the kitchen turns into pure madness—laughing, shouting, and maybe even getting a little annoyed at each other… but in the best way. 😅
Recently, I found myself replaying some of my favourite stages, and it reminded me just how much I love the chaos this game brings. So I thought: why not share them here?
My Favourite Overcooked Stages
1. Surf ‘n’ Turf
I really love this beach-themed pack because it’s perfect to play during summer, and it lets me make my favourite fruity dishes! For me, messing around with the blender, the BBQ grill, and those endlessly pushing waves is just so thrilling. But if your teammates aren’t cooperating, you can always grab the water pistol to mess with them while washing dishes—or just push them straight into the water. This summer is pure chaos, and that’s exactly why I love it.
2. Campfire Cook Off
Camping should feel peaceful, but not in Overcooked. These levels are filled with logs, backpacks, and campfire cooking. The wooden bridges make me nervous—one wrong step and your ingredients are gone! Passing items with teammates here is both stressful and hilarious. Honestly, it feels like real camping: if one person slacks off, everyone suffers.
3. Night of the Hangry Horde
This one completely changes the rules. Instead of just cooking, you’re defending castle gates from hungry Unbread. The first time I played with friends, it felt like a zombie apocalypse:
“Quick, get the pizza ready!”
“Don’t let them through the gate!”
Chaotic but so rewarding when you survive the waves together.
4. Carnival of Chaos
This one always puts me in a good mood because it’s so colourful and fun. The carnival vibe makes the chaos feel like a big party, even when I’m failing orders left and right. The hot dog cannons are my favourite—they’re silly, unpredictable, and somehow make the game even messier. But that’s exactly the charm. Playing these levels always ends with laughter, because no matter how serious you try to be, the carnival refuses to let you stay calm.
5. Too Many Cooks Pack
Okay, this one isn’t about new stages, but I honestly can’t leave it out. The Too Many Cooks Pack is one of my favourites simply because the chefs are so ridiculous and fun. I love picking the unicorn or the octopus—it instantly makes the chaos feel lighter, even when the kitchen is on fire. Somehow, wearing a silly costume makes losing a lot less frustrating and way more entertaining. For me, half the joy of Overcooked is not just the kitchens, but who you get to be while surviving the madness.

Final Thoughts
There are so many stages in Overcooked, but these are the ones I keep coming back to again and again. Sometimes I play alone, sometimes with friends—it doesn’t really matter, because it always gives me that same mix of chaos, laughter, and a little bit of stress (the good kind).
Since this post goes out during the holidays in Malaysia—Happy Malaysia Day! 🇲🇾 I’m feeling extra grateful and proud of how far my country has come. I’ll probably spend the long weekend with family, eating, gaming, and maybe writing more posts if I’m not too lazy, haha.
Thanks so much for reading, and if you’ve played Overcooked, let me know which stages make you laugh the most—I’d love to hear your favourites too. 💛
