Hello and welcome back to a new post!
I’m so excited to share a little piece of my UK adventure—especially where to stay if you’re planning a trip to London. It feels great to finally talk more about travel again, and hopefully, more destination posts are on the way!
Thanks to this London trip, I’ve got more stories coming to the blog. In fact, I stayed in two different places this time: a hotel and an Airbnb. (I’ll be sharing the Airbnb review in a separate post soon!)
Unlike my first trip, where I stayed with friends, this time I had the full solo experience—which turned out to be a lovely one. Let’s dive in!
✨ First Impressions
W12 Rooms isn’t flashy or luxurious—but it’s simple, clean, and very convenient, especially for first-time visitors to London. Located on the upper floors of a modest building, it feels more like a quiet city retreat than a typical hotel.
Klook.comThe entrance is a bit easy to miss if you’re not paying attention, but once you find it, the check-in process is quick. The staff were also really friendly and helped with my luggage, which I appreciated after a long journey.
📍 Location
The best part of W12 Rooms is definitely the location. It’s just a one-minute walk from the nearest tube station, which makes exploring London super easy. Downstairs, you’ll find plenty of restaurants and shops, and you’re close to many top tourist attractions—like the London Eye, Kensington Palace, Holland Park, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and more.
If you’re visiting London for the first time, this hotel makes for a convenient and accessible home base.
🛏️ The Room
I stayed in a standard single bedroom. It was small but cozy—perfect for my short stay. The bathroom was also compact but functional. The only issue was that one of the bedside lights didn’t work, which ideally should have been fixed before check-in. However, since I wasn’t spending much time in the room, it wasn’t a big deal for me.
There’s a 24-hour front desk, so if you need help or want something fixed, you can always reach out. I also liked that the TV worked well for catching up on local news, and there’s free Wi-Fi. Bonus: the front desk offers complimentary local SIM cards, which I used the next day. Super helpful!
Klook.com🧼 Cleanliness & Service
My first impression of the room’s cleanliness was okay. Aside from the light issue, everything seemed clean and in order. Housekeeping staff came by daily, and if you ever need anything, you can easily arrange it at the front desk. It’s simple and convenient.
🍳 Breakfast? Not Included—But Not a Problem
W12 Rooms doesn’t serve breakfast, and there’s no dining area—but that’s not really a downside. The hotel is located in a food-friendly area! There’s a cozy Chinese restaurant just downstairs, and right across the street, there’s a department store with a supermarket inside. Whether you’re looking for a warm breakfast or some snacks to bring back to your room, it’s all super convenient.
🌟 Overall Thoughts
If you’re looking for a fancy hotel with full-service amenities, W12 Rooms might not be the place. But if what you need is a clean, quiet, and centrally located space to rest between city adventures, it’s an excellent choice. I truly enjoy the location so much!
